4 C’s to be considered while purchasing a Diamond

1. FOR CUT
Cut is the most important of the 4Cs because it has the greatest influence on a diamond's sparkle. • Even if a diamond has a perfect clarity and color grade, if it has a poor cut, it may appear dull.

2. COLOR D-Z
The second most important of the 4Cs is color, which refers to a diamond's lack of color. Diamonds range starting with D(D for Diamond) which is the highest white to Z which is fancy colors. The less color, the higher the grade.

3. CLARITY
The clarity grading scales from Fl, IF (Flawless, Internally Flawless) to I which has maximum inclusions. Diamonds generally have tiny flaws that can’t be seen by the naked eye, except when the diamond comes out flawless, which becomes a very high value as it is rare.

Carat refers to a diamond's weight, not the diamond’s size. Consider cut and carat together; a larger carat diamond with a poor cut grade can appear smaller than a smaller diamond with a higher cut grade.

TIP
For example, instead of a 2.0-carat diamond, consider buying a 1.9-carat weight. This will save a considerable amount of money and the slight size difference will never be noticed.
